BMX Tracks & Where to Ride
May 6, 2026

One of the coolest parts about traveling for BMX is discovering tracks and ride spots we never would have found otherwise. Every town seems to have its own hidden gem — from full blown USA BMX tracks to tiny local pump tracks tucked behind parks and neighborhoods.
This page is a little "starter guide" while we build out something much bigger.
Soon we'll be adding POV ride videos, track walkthroughs, campground info, photos, and all the places we've been lucky enough to ride and camp at along the way. We plan to share a lot of those over on Instagram too because honestly… some of these places deserve way more attention than they get.
If you're brand new to BMX, one of the best things about the sport is how easy it is to ride all over the country. Your USA BMX Membership works at tracks nationwide. You'll still pay practice, coaching, and race fees depending on the event, but your membership gets you into the sanction and allows you to compete anywhere in the USA.
A huge part of our travel schedule revolves around BMX events. Nationals, Gold Cups, state races, double points weekends… if there's racing and a place to park the camper nearby, there's a decent chance we're headed there. You can check upcoming races and major events on the USA BMX events calendar and honestly, planning travel around BMX weekends has led us to some incredible places we never would have visited otherwise.
One spot currently high on our bucket list is a Harvest Hosts location near Knoxville that is actually a pump track where you can camp overnight. Yes… literally camp at the track. That sounds pretty close to BMX parent heaven if you ask us.
When we're searching for new places to ride while traveling, I probably use Google searches for "skate parks" more than anything else. You'd be surprised how many pump tracks, dirt jumps, and bike parks pop up in random towns you pass through. We also use Pump Track Locator constantly to scout new places along our route.
Some tracks are huge. Some are tiny hometown tracks run completely by volunteers. Some are polished and packed with pros. Others are hidden local spots where kids just love to ride until dark. Honestly, that's part of what makes this sport so fun.
No matter where we travel, BMX has a way of making a new place feel familiar almost instantly.
More track reviews, campground pairings, riding spots, and travel tips coming soon.
