Our Review

If you're looking for a family-friendly campground while exploring southeastern Massachusetts, Thousand Trails Gateway to Cape Cod is a solid choice. We'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. The campground offers large, tree-lined sites that are mostly sandy with plenty of shade. The sites are clean and well-maintained, making for a comfortable stay. One tip: we would not recommend arriving after dark. The roads and trees can make navigating a large RV a bit challenging at night. Families will love the amenities. During our stay there were weekend activities, a food truck, a pool, a great recreation center, and a nice playground that kept kids entertained. One thing to keep in mind is that despite the name, the campground is about 40 minutes from the Cape Cod Canal, so you'll want to plan for some driving if your goal is to explore Cape Cod. Our Martha's Vineyard Day Trip One of the highlights of our stay was taking the Steamship Authority ferry from Woods Hole to Oak Bluffs. We highly recommend checking the ferry schedule online before your trip and booking in advance during the busy season.
